Pride Budapest, the far right tries to occupy the square: dispersed by police

Budapest (Hungary), 28 June (LaPresse) – About ten members of the far-right Hungarian collective “64 Counties Youth Movement” tried to occupy Városháza Park, where Budapest Pride is set to begin in a few hours. The protesters' aim was to physically prevent the start of the march for LGBT rights, which has been banned by Hungarian law since this year. After lengthy negotiations with the Hungarian police, the protesters were removed from the area.
