Serbia: dozens arrested at massive protest against Vucic in Belgrade

Belgrade (Serbia), 29 June (LaPresse/AP) – Dozens of anti-government protesters were arrested on Saturday in Belgrade during a demonstration against President Aleksandar Vucic and calling for early elections. The protest, involving tens of thousands of demonstrators, took place after almost eight months of persistent dissent led by Serbian university students who have shaken Vucic's firm grip on power in the Balkan country. According to the police, six officers and an unknown number of citizens were injured. β€˜In the end, Serbia always wins,’ President Vucic wrote in an Instagram post.
