Germany: employees stabbed in a company, one dead and two injured

(Milan), 1 July (LaPresse) – A man attacked several employees of a company in Bavaria. One person died from serious injuries, police said. Two other employees were seriously injured. The suspect, a 21-year-old German citizen, is in police custody. Police described the murder weapon as a “sharp object” and added that there is no danger to the public. The attack at the company, which operates the regional electricity network Überlandwerk Rhön in Mellrichstadt, Lower Franconia (Rhön-Grabfeld district), was reported to the police this morning. Numerous police officers and emergency services were called to the scene. It is not yet clear what connection the arrested man has to the company or what the motive for the attack may have been.
