Milan, 1 July (LaPresse) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has confirmed that he will be in Washington next week to meet with US President Donald Trump. Speaking during a cabinet meeting, Netanyahu did not provide details on the content of the visit, saying only that he would discuss a trade agreement. He explained that he would also meet with US Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick. Netanyahu's visit comes after Trump signalled he was ready for a truce between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza war, which is likely to be at the centre of the talks. Iran, after 12 days of war with Israel, is also expected to be one of the main topics of discussion.
