Middle East, Netanyahu: ‘Discussed efforts to release hostages with Trump’

Milan, 9 July (LaPresse) – After his second meeting with US President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance at the White House, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that discussions ‘focused on efforts to free our hostages’. ‘We will not give up for a moment, and this is possible thanks to the military pressure exerted by our heroic soldiers,’ he said in a video filmed at Blair House. ‘Unfortunately, this effort is costing us a painful price, with the loss of our best sons.’ Netanyahu stressed that Israel is determined to achieve all its objectives in Gaza: ‘the release of all hostages, dead and alive; the elimination of Hamas' military and governing capabilities; and ensuring that Gaza no longer poses a threat to Israel.’
