The details of the disarmament will be defined and implemented quickly." This was stated in a video message by PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan, who once again called on the organisation to lay down its arms. This was reported by Turkish media. ‘The PKK movement, which is based on the denial of its own existence and aims at an independent state, and the national liberation war strategy on which it is based, have been crushed,’ Ocalan added, ‘its existence has been recognised, so the main goal has been achieved. This is what makes it obsolete. The rest has been considered excessive repetition and a stalemate.’
