Moscow (Russia), July 20 (LaPresse) – Two earthquakes, the strongest with a magnitude of 7.4 and the other 6.7, occurred off the Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia, today between 8:28 and 8:49 Italian time. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center issued a tsunami alert for the Kamchatka Peninsula. The stronger earthquake occurred at a depth of 20 km and 144 kilometers east of the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, which has a population of 180,000 inhabitants.
