Brazil: Judge Moraes gives Bolsonaro's lawyers 24 hours to explain interview

Milan, 22 July (LaPresse) – Judge Alexandre de Moraes of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) has ordered Jair Bolsonaro's lawyers to respond within 24 hours regarding the former president's failure to comply with a precautionary measure prohibiting him from using social media, either directly or indirectly. This was reported by the Brazilian online news site G1. Since Friday, Moraes has imposed precautionary measures on Bolsonaro, such as the use of an electronic ankle bracelet and a ban on posting content on social media, due to evidence that the former president is attempting to disrupt the trial in which he is accused of attempted coup.On Monday morning, Moraes reiterated that the ban also applies to third-party social media accounts. A few hours later, however, Bolsonaro held a rally with allies in the Chamber of Deputies, and recordings of the event ended up online.
