Edinburgh (Scotland), 26 July (LaPresse/AP) – US President Donald Trump played golf at his course on the Scottish coast, while protesters across the country took to the streets to protest against his visit and accuse UK leaders of pandering to the Americans. Trump and his son Eric played with the US ambassador to Britain, Warren Stephens, near Turnberry, a historic course that the Trump family company bought in 2008. Meanwhile, hundreds of protesters gathered on the cobbled, tree-lined street in front of the US Consulate, about 160 kilometres away in Edinburgh. Some protesters, from a makeshift stage, addressed the crowd, saying Trump was not welcome and criticising British Prime Minister Keir Starmer for reaching a recent trade deal to avoid US tariffs on goods imported from the UK.
