Rome, July 27 (LaPresse) – "Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani spoke this morning with Israeli Minister Gideon Sa’ar. The two Italian activists detained last night on the Freedom Flotilla ship have arrived at the port of Ashdod, where they will be assisted by the staff of the Italian Embassy in Tel Aviv. Minister Sa’ar indicated that the procedure provides the participants with two options: sign a declaration to go to the airport and leave the country immediately or 'be detained at a local detention facility with forced repatriation within the next 3 days.' The Foreign Ministry’s note also adds that 'on the Freedom Flotilla, Tajani updated the Mayor of Messina, the city from which one of the two involved nationals hails.' The two Italians on board are Antonio Mazzeo from Messina and Antonio La Piccirella from Puglia."
