Washington (USA), July 30 (LaPresse) – Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that the United States "has agreed on a comprehensive trade deal with the Republic of Korea. The agreement includes South Korea paying the United States $350 billion for U.S.-owned and U.S.-controlled investments selected by me, as President. In addition, South Korea will purchase $100 billion worth of LNG or other energy products and has also agreed to invest a significant amount of money in its own investments. This amount will be announced within the next two weeks, when the President of South Korea, Lee Jae Myung, visits the White House for a bilateral meeting."
As part of the deal, the U.S. President wrote, "South Korea will be completely open to trade with the United States" and "will accept American products, including cars, trucks, agricultural goods, etc. We have agreed on a 15% tariff for South Korea. No tariff will be applied to America," Trump concluded.
