Washington (USA), August 28 (LaPresse) – The Oval Office meeting on Gaza lasted over 90 minutes and was attended by Donald Trump, special envoy Steve Witkoff, and the president’s son-in-law and former White House advisor, Jared Kushner, according to the New York Times.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who also serves as National Security Advisor, took part in portions of the meeting, as did former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair.
The Oval Office meeting took place on the same day Rubio met with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar at the State Department.
During their conversation, Rubio and Saar discussed the situation in the Middle East, including the consequences of Israel’s war against Iran, the Trump administration’s bombing of three Iranian nuclear sites, and the war in Gaza.
