North Korea, Kim Jong-un to attend celebratory parade in Beijing on Wednesday

Beijing (China), August 28 (LaPresse) – North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will take part in a military parade next week in the Chinese capital, according to North Korean and Chinese state media.
China will hold the parade on Wednesday to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.
China’s official news agency stated that 26 foreign leaders will attend the event, including Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Leaders from the United States and major Western European countries are not expected to be present, partly due to disagreements with Putin over the war in Ukraine.
China shares a border with North Korea and is its closest ally.
