Kyiv, August 27 (LaPresse) – Late last night, Russia launched a large-scale drone attack against Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv, targeting regions far from the country’s frontline, reports the Kyiv Independent.
The first explosions were heard in Kyiv around 9:30 PM, when Mayor Vitalii Klitschko announced the deployment of air defense systems in the city.
The Ukrainian Air Force also reported swarms of dozens of drones flying over central and southern regions, including the Zhytomyr, Odessa, and Mykolaiv oblasts, as well as areas closer to the frontline.
