US, White House on Kimmel: ‘Finally, ABC is willing to do the right thing’

New York (New York, USA), Sept. 18 (LaPresse) – In a post on social media platform X, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Taylor Budowich wrote following the suspension of Jimmy Kimmel’s show:
“Welcome to the culture of consequences. Normal, common-sense Americans are no longer willing to put up with this bull****, and companies like ABC are finally willing to do the right and reasonable thing.”

In his Monday monologue, Kimmel said that Trump’s response to Kirk’s death “is not how an adult mourns the murder of someone they called a friend. That’s how a 4-year-old mourns the death of a goldfish, okay?”
He also said that FBI chief Kash Patel handled the murder investigation “like a kid who didn’t read the book and is winging it in an oral exam.”

On Tuesday night, he returned to the topic, mocking Vice President JD Vance’s performance as a guest on Kirk’s podcast.
He then added that Trump was “fanning the flames” by attacking left-wing people:
“What’s the truth — are they a bunch of cowardly pickleball players who are too afraid of being hit by tennis balls, or a well-organized and deadly commando squad? They can’t be both.”
