Turin, Sept. 24 (LaPresse) – A person has been arrested in connection with a cyberattack that caused days of disruption at several European airports, including Heathrow, the BBC reports. The UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA) stated that a 40-year-old man was arrested in West Sussex "as part of an investigation into a cyber incident affecting Collins Aerospace." Hundreds of flight delays occurred due to malfunctions in the check-in and baggage handling software used by several airlines, forcing affected airports to board passengers manually using pen and paper. “While this arrest is a positive step, investigations into this incident are still in their early stages and remain ongoing,” said Paul Foster, head of the NCA’s National Cyber Crime Unit.
