Netherlands, media: two 17-year-olds arrested on charges of spying for Russia

Turin, Sept. 26 (LaPresse) – Two 17-year-old Dutch boys have been arrested on charges of espionage, allegedly for Russia. This was reported by the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf. The two young men are alleged to have carried out hacking operations. On August 16, they allegedly used a ‘wi-fi sniffer’, a device capable of mapping networks in the area and intercepting data, near the headquarters of Europol, Eurojust, and the Canadian embassy in The Hague. According to their parents, the two were contacted via Telegram. The arrests were made after a report by the Dutch security services. One of the two boys will remain in prison for another two weeks, while the other is under house arrest with an electronic tag.
