Ukraine, Russian attack on Kyiv overnight: at least 3 dead

Kyiv, Oct. 26 (LaPresse) — In the night between Saturday and Sunday, a Russian attack struck Ukraine's capital, Kyiv. According to Mayor Vitali Klitschko's report on Telegram, 3 people were killed and 26 others were injured, including 6 children. According to the Ukrainian Air Force — as reported by RBC Ukraine — a group of attack drones was heading towards Kyiv around 2:23 AM. A few minutes later, an air raid alarm was declared in the capital. From about 2:30 AM, explosions and air defense activity were repeatedly heard throughout the city. Three districts of Kyiv — Dniprovskyi, Desnianskyi, and Darnytskyi — were hit. Windows of residential buildings and a kindergarten were damaged, and reports also mentioned the destruction of a store and other structures.
