USA, media: Mamdani ready to hire 200 lawyers for lawsuits against Trump

New York, Nov. 6 (LaPresse) – New York’s new mayor, Zohran Mamdani, announced that he will not be intimidated by threats from U.S. President Donald Trump and that New York will provide a manual on how to defeat the tycoon and his political movement. According to the New York Times, the newly elected mayor of the Big Apple is also ready to pursue legal action. Mamdani — the New York Times website reports — may have few, if any, tools to counter the Trump administration apart from litigation. The newly elected mayor promised to hire 200 additional lawyers for the city’s legal office, also to address what he described in his campaign as “presidential excesses.” “So, President Trump, listen to me when I say this: to get to any of us, you will have to go through all of us,” Mamdani said. The White House occupant had attacked the newly elected mayor. “Miami will soon become the refuge for those fleeing the communism of New York,” Donald Trump said yesterday at the American Business Forum in Miami. “After last night’s results, Americans’ choice could not be clearer. We must choose between communism and common sense,” the U.S. president said in reference to Zohran Mamdani’s election.
