Paris attacks: Macron, we cannot make sense of 13/11, but we can make sense of the day after

Milan, 13 November (LaPresse) – ‘There is no sense, there is no justification for your pain, and there never will be. You cannot make sense of 13 November, but you can make sense of 14 November, of each of your “tomorrows”, of each of your steps, which together tell a story of courage, solidarity and life.’ These were the words of French President Emmanuel Macron in his speech at the ceremony commemorating the victims of the 13 November 2015 attacks in Paris, on the tenth anniversary. The ceremony was held at the “Jardin du 13 novembre 2015”, or “Jardin du souvenir”, a memorial garden inaugurated on this occasion, located in Place Saint-Gervais, near the town hall.
