Russia: Poland closes last Russian consulate in the country

Warsaw (Poland), 19 Nov. (LaPresse/AP) – The Polish Foreign Minister has stated that he will order the closure of the last Russian consulate still operating in the country, after the authorities accused two Ukrainian citizens working for Moscow of blowing up a railway line in Poland. Radek Sikorski said he had repeatedly warned Russia that its diplomatic and consular presence would be further reduced if it did not cease hostile actions against Poland, according to the Polish news agency PAP. The consulate in question is in Gdansk. The closure will leave Russia with only its embassy in Warsaw as a diplomatic presence on Polish territory.
