Ukraine, Zelensky: ‘We want a dignified peace’

Milan, 21 Nov. (LaPresse) – ‘A true peace, a peace that will not be broken by a third invasion. A dignified peace, so that the conditions respect our independence, our sovereignty and the dignity of the Ukrainian people. And we must guarantee precisely these conditions’. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky writes on his social media channels that he had a ‘meeting with representatives of the United States. A large delegation and a very serious conversation. The American side presented its proposals, the points of the plan to end the war, its vision.’ ‘From the very first days of the war, we have taken an extremely simple position: Ukraine needs peace,’ Zelensky says. “I outlined what is of fundamental importance to us. And we agreed that the teams will work on these proposals so that they are concrete. We will not make harsh statements and we are committed to working clearly and honestly: Ukraine, the United States and our friends and partners in Europe and around the world,” the Kiev leader emphasised.
