Ukraine, media: Kyiv has agreed with the US on conditions for a peace deal

Milan, 25 Nov. (LaPresse) – A Ukrainian delegation has agreed with the United States on the terms of a potential peace deal. ABC News reports this, citing a US official. “The Ukrainians have accepted the peace deal,” the US official said, adding that “there are some minor details to be defined, but they have accepted a peace deal.” The official told ABC News that US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll held secret talks on Monday with a Russian delegation in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to follow up on this weekend’s talks with Ukraine in Geneva aimed at advancing the peace process in Ukraine. “On Monday evening and throughout Tuesday, Secretary Driscoll and his team discussed with the Russian delegation to reach a lasting peace in Ukraine,” US Army spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Tolbert said today. “Talks are progressing well and we remain optimistic. Secretary Driscoll is in close contact with the White House and US agencies as the talks proceed,” he added. Neither Ukraine nor Russia has officially confirmed the presence of their delegations in Abu Dhabi.
