PNRR, Fitto: “Green light for revision of Italy's plan, new priorities for growth”

Brussels, Nov. 27 (LaPresse) – The EU today approved the latest revision of Italy's PNRR, which “represents an important step forward and the result of constructive dialogue between the Commission and the Italian authorities.” The announcement was made on social media by the Vice President of the European Commission, Raffaele Fitto. “This revision is part of the process outlined in the Communication ‘NextGenEU: the road to 2026’, in which we invited all Member States to update their Plans to ensure their full completion by August 31, 2026,” he explained. “Italy has submitted a proposal that maintains the total budget of €194.4 billion unchanged and thus confirms the ambition of the Plan, while at the same time addressing certain aspects to strengthen its effectiveness,” Fitto points out. All 173 measures covered by the last three installments have been reviewed: 83 of these have been simplified to make the process more straightforward; the other changes involve more targeted adjustments, with the aim of ensuring more solid and fully achievable results within the planned timeframe."
