Washington (USA), December 2 (LaPresse) – The Afghan refugee who shot two National Guard members in Washington last Wednesday, killing one soldier and seriously wounding another, has pleaded not guilty in his first virtual appearance before a judge from his hospital bed. The man, Rahmanullah Lakanwal, is charged, among other things, with first-degree murder in the death of 20-year-old soldier Sarah Beckstrom, who died of her wounds the day after the attack. The other victim, Andrew Wolfe, remains in critical condition.
