Rome, 22 December (LaPresse) – Progress in negotiations with the United States on Ukraine is ‘slow’ and Moscow is asking Washington to ‘resist more actively’ attempts by some countries to ‘sabotage the process’. This was stated by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov. Ria Novosti reports. ‘Slow progress is being made. Added to this are extremely harmful and malicious attempts by an influential group of states to sabotage these efforts and derail the diplomatic process in question. This must be opposed,’ he added. ‘We call on the US administration to oppose this situation more actively. We are ready to continue working within the framework established in Anchorage. The leaders defined it and it remains fully relevant,’ Ryabkov concluded.
