Lagos (Nigeria), 25 December (LaPresse) – Five people were killed in a bomb explosion at a mosque in Maiduguri, north-eastern Nigeria, during Wednesday evening prayers. The police reported that 35 people were injured. ‘Preliminary investigations suggest that it may have been a suicide bombing, based on the recovery of fragments of a suspected explosive vest and witness statements,’ said Nahum Daso, spokesman for the Borno State Police Command.
