Ukraine: Kiev without water and heating due to electricity emergency

Milan, 10 Jan. (LaPresse) – ‘On the orders of Ukrenergo, an emergency power cut has been implemented’ in Kiev and ‘the operation of the water supply, heating and electricity transport systems has been interrupted’. This was reported by the Kiev city administration. Kiev Governor Timur Tkachenko, according to the Suspilne broadcaster, reported that there had been an incident in one of the city's electrical system connections: "Specialists have now resolved the problem. Therefore, the general power supply is being restored. This will allow us to remove the emergency outages and return to scheduled outages. However, where work is underway to eliminate the consequences of enemy attacks, restrictions will remain in place," Tkachenko said.
