Rome, 24 February (LaPresse) – ‘Putin has not achieved his goals. He has not broken the Ukrainians; he has not won this war. We have preserved Ukraine and will do everything possible to ensure peace and justice.’ This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a message released on the fourth anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. ‘Today,’ the Ukrainian president continued, ‘marks exactly four years since Putin launched his offensive to take Kyiv in three days. And that actually says a lot about our resilience, about how Ukraine has fought all this time. Behind these words are millions of our citizens, immense courage, incredibly hard work, resilience and a long journey that Ukraine has been on since 24 February.’
