Milan, 25 February (LaPresse) – "The “Russian world” is a terrible world where violence reigns supreme, where people without rights can be torn to pieces by the authoritarian state. If anyone likes it, they can live in Russia, as long as it exists. Ukraine's choice is pro-European; there will be no “Russian world” in Ukraine. Restrictions on Russian propaganda must be total, and not only in Ukraine and not only during our elections: bans on pro-Russian propaganda must be introduced throughout Europe. We cannot condone anything that will lead to conflict, fighting, killings and invasions. It is a very, very dangerous path'. This was stated by Mikhailo Podolyak, adviser to the Ukrainian presidency, in an interview with the daily newspaper La Repubblica. “Russia invents reasons to enter other countries, and this means a lot of bloodshed and killings. Ukraine has made its choice,” he adds. When asked whether Italy and Meloni are reliable political and military partners, Podolyak replied: “Without a doubt. Perhaps more rapid discussions could be held on the risks and Russian interference, non-military for now, in European sovereign affairs. Moscow invests heavily in political parties and social movements in various countries, including Italy, to obtain a sort of pro-Russian lobby. This should be evaluated”.
