Tehran, Mar. 7 (LaPresse) – "President Pezeshkian’s opening to de-escalation in our region, on the condition that the airspace, territory and waters of our neighbors are not used to attack the Iranian people, was almost immediately undermined by President Trump’s misinterpretation of our capabilities, determination and intentions. If Trump seeks escalation, that is precisely what our powerful armed forces have long been prepared for, and that is exactly what he will get." This was stated by Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi.
His remarks come after Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, in a prerecorded speech broadcast on state television, apologized for Iran’s attacks on countries in the region, adding that the provisional leadership council approved yesterday that neighboring countries will no longer be attacked unless an attack against Iran is launched from there. Following this, U.S. President Donald Trump wrote on Truth: "Iran, which was overwhelmingly defeated, has apologized and surrendered to its Middle Eastern neighbors, promising that" it would no longer strike them, "this promise was made only because of the relentless attack by the United States and Israel. Their goal was to conquer and rule the Middle East. It is the first time in thousands of years that Iran has lost to the surrounding Middle Eastern countries," "Iran is no longer the 'bully of the Middle East,' but instead the 'loser of the Middle East' and will be so for many decades until it surrenders or, more likely, completely collapses!"
