Turin, 17 March (LaPresse) – A series of Israeli air raids launched yesterday struck three areas of Iran, targeting Iranian military sites and infrastructure, according to the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF). Dozens of Israeli Air Force fighter jets dropped dozens of bombs during the attacks on Tehran, Shiraz and Tabriz. In Tehran, the IDF claims to have bombed several security force headquarters, including those of the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence and the Basij paramilitary militia, as well as sites used for the storage and launch of drones, ballistic missiles and air defence systems. In Shiraz, the Israeli Air Force struck a headquarters of Iran’s internal security forces, as well as a ballistic missile depot, according to the IDF. In Tabriz, Israeli fighter jets destroyed further air defence systems “to extend air superiority”. The IDF reports that the attacks are part of a “phase of intensified strikes against the Iranian terrorist regime’s core systems and capabilities”.
