Iran: media reports, London denies involvement in Hormuz naval blockade

Previously, US President Donald Trump had stated that the UK would send minesweepers to assist with clearance operations in the strait. A government spokesperson stated: “We continue to support freedom of navigation and the openness of the Strait of Hormuz, which is urgently needed to sustain the global economy and the cost of living in our country.
