Iran: Pakistan proposes second round of talks with US in Islamabad

Milan, 14 Apr. (LaPresse) – Pakistan has proposed hosting a second round of talks between the United States and Iran in Islamabad in the coming days, before the ceasefire expires, according to two Pakistani officials. The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity as they were not authorised to discuss the matter with the press, said the proposal would depend on the parties’ request for a different venue. One of the officials added that, although they concluded without an agreement, the first talks were part of an ongoing diplomatic process and were not an isolated initiative.
