Rome, Apr 25 (LaPresse) – Overnight, Russia launched a new large-scale attack against Ukraine, striking several cities with ballistic missiles and drones and causing at least 14 injuries. This was reported by The Kyiv Independent. Around 3:30 a.m. local time, several explosions were heard in Kharkiv and Dnipro, while the Ukrainian Air Force reported the launch of numerous ballistic missiles and dozens of attack drones targeting multiple regions of the country. Later, around 4:50 a.m., new explosions were recorded in Bila Tserkva, a city in the Kyiv region. Shortly before, at around 3:45 a.m., an air raid alert had been declared across all regions of Ukraine due to the threat of missile attacks. In Kharkiv, Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that a missile hit a residential building in the Shevchenkivskyi district, also destroying a public transport stop. In Dnipro, images shared on social media show several fires in the city. The governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region, Oleksandr Hanzha, said that a four-storey building and an industrial facility were hit. At least 14 people were injured, including a child, and several were hospitalized. Authorities suspect that other people may still be trapped under the rubble. “Buildings, businesses, vehicles and a shop were damaged,” Hanzha wrote on social media. Minor damage was also reported in the Cherkasy region, where a house was hit, and in the Mykolaiv region, where a damaged power line caused outages in six settlements.
