This was reported by CNN, citing Secret Service communications director Anthony Guglielmi. Guglielmi did not reveal the agent’s name or the hospital where he was admitted, but stated that the bulletproof vest worn by the agent “helped us avoid a potential tragedy”. Earlier in the evening, President Donald Trump said he had spoken to the agent: “He’s in great spirits and we told him we love him and respect him. He’s a very proud young man. He’s very proud of what he does,” the tycoon reported.
