After writing that under his presidency Iran had ‘hit the jackpot’, the tycoon continued: "Not only was he lenient towards them, but he was fantastic, effectively siding with them, abandoning Israel and all our other allies, and offering Iran a new and incredibly powerful vision for the future. Hundreds of billions of dollars and $1.7 billion in cash, flown to Tehran, were handed to them on a silver platter. All the banks in Washington, Virginia and Maryland were emptied – there was so much money that when it arrived, the Iranian thugs had no idea what to do with it. They had never seen money like that, and they never will again." ‘It was unloaded from the plane in suitcases and bags, and the Iranians couldn’t believe their luck.
