Rome, 18 May (LaPresse) – Iran reports that it has received from the United States a series of comments and requests for amendments to its 14-point proposal and has in turn responded. This was stated by the spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Esmail Baghaei, according to reports by the Iranian state news agency Irna. "After presenting the 14-point plan, the American side expressed its considerations. In turn, we have expressed ours,‘ said the spokesperson. ’Last week, despite the United States having publicly announced its rejection of the plan, we received a series of corrective points and considerations from the Pakistani mediator," he continued, adding that Iran had examined the latest proposals in recent days and had already sent its response to Washington via the same channel. “From the day after the American positions were sent via Pakistan, we were faced with a series of proposals from the other side, which have been examined over the last few days, and as announced yesterday, our positions have in turn been presented to the American side,” he said. “Therefore, the process is continuing via Pakistan,” he concluded.
