London (United Kingdom), 19 May (LaPresse/AP) – UK police have stated that they are investigating two allegations of child sexual abuse dating back to the past, following the publication of the so-called ‘Epstein files’. In a statement, Surrey Police, the force covering the county immediately south-west of London, reported that the investigation concerns two separate allegations: the first relates to alleged incidents that took place between the mid-1990s and 2000 in locations in Surrey and Berkshire, whilst the second relates to incidents dating from the mid- to late-1980s in West Surrey. The authorities have clarified that no arrests have been made at this stage. “We take all reports of sexual offences seriously and will work to identify every possible investigative lead in order to verify the information or establish supporting evidence,” the police stated in the press release.
