Brussels, 26 May (LaPresse) – The incidents in the Baltic states “have highlighted vulnerabilities. Preparedness must be the guiding principle for the resilience of our societies, our economic policies and, of course, our security architecture. And the Eastern Member States will set the standards. Because what you are experiencing today, the rest of Europe may face tomorrow. So we will systematically address the gaps. Starting with more unified warning systems and better cross-border coordination.” This was stated by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Vilnius at a press conference with the leaders of the Baltic states.
