Ukraine, Zelensky: ‘Air defence is a top priority’

Brussels, 26 May (LaPresse) – "It is now essential to continue emphasising to all political leaders that Ukraine’s air defence is the top priority. It is important to continue working together to strengthen the resilience of Ukrainian communities and, consequently, to share experiences of resilience that will be useful to communities in your countries. It is a huge help to Ukraine to know that it is not alone in its defence. People in your countries, just as here in Ukraine, must continue to feel that evil will not prevail.” So said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his address at the 4th International Summit of Cities and Regions in Kyiv. “We will always be deeply grateful to you,” he added, “for every joint project, for every courageous decision, for every step that contributes to our defence and the protection of our towns and villages from Russian attacks, and for your participation in the reconstruction of Ukraine. The fate of our freedom and yours is being decided here, in Ukraine, in this war: which system will prevail? Our shared European system or Moscow’s?”
