Iran, NYT: "Trump sent tougher amendments for deal with Tehran"

New York (USA), May 31 (LaPresse) – "According to three officials, President Trump has toughened the terms of a potential framework agreement to end the war in Iran and has sent the proposed changes back to the country for review." This is reported by the New York Times. "It has not been clarified which changes were made to the text of the agreement," the NYT adds. "Two officials said Trump is concerned about some parts of the potential agreement that provide for the unfreezing of funds intended for Iranians. He sharply criticized President Barack Obama for doing the same in the agreement signed over a decade ago to limit Iran's nuclear program." "Trump – the report reads – is also frustrated by the slow progress in reaching an agreement."
