London (United Kingdom), 3 June (LaPresse/AP) – The British Royal Navy has announced that three of its personnel have died in a helicopter crash that occurred during a training exercise in the early hours of the morning in south-west England. The helicopter crashed in the county of Devon, England, at 4 am. The Chief of the Navy, General Gwyn Jenkins, said in a statement that he was “deeply saddened to report that three crew members aboard a Royal Navy Merlin Mk4 helicopter have died following a crash in the early hours of this morning near Sourton, Devon”. He added that an investigation is underway and that further updates will be provided in due course.
