Milan, 4 June (LaPresse) – Hezbollah has rejected the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel reached following talks in the US. In a statement quoted by the British broadcaster Sky News, the Lebanese group says it has “officially informed Lebanese President Joseph Aoun of its rejection of the agreement, insisting that any acceptable agreement must begin with a complete withdrawal of Israel from all Lebanese territory”. Hezbollah also added that it “considers the return of displaced residents, reconstruction efforts and the release of Lebanese prisoners” to be “essential conditions for any future agreement”.
