Naples, 29 August (LaPresse) – The hearing scheduled for 3 September before the Campania Regional Administrative Court on the appeal filed by the mayor of Naples, Gaetano Manfredi, in his capacity as president of the Teatro San Carlo Foundation, against the appointment of Fulvio Macciardi as superintendent, is likely to be postponed. Through his lawyers, Manfredi has submitted additional grounds for the appeal, with particular reference to the new appointment decree voted on 26 August by the three members of the Foundation's Steering Committee appointed by the Ministry of Culture (Marilù Faraone Mennella and Gianfranco Nicoletti) and the Campania Region (Riccardo Realfonzo), after Manfredi and the representative of the Metropolitan City of Naples, Maria Grazia Falciatore, had left the meeting. The dispute is based on the fact that Macciardi's second appointment was not on the agenda of the 26 August meeting. Meanwhile, the appeal filed with the Civil Court of Naples continues: today is the deadline for the parties to file their respective briefs, and the decision of the judge of the seventh section, Francesco Paolo Feo, is expected early next week.
