Browsing data
The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected to be associated with identified data subjects; however, due to its very nature, it could allow users to be identified through processing and association with data held by third parties.

This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of computers used by users connecting to the Website, URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the user’s operating system and computer environment.

These data are used solely for the purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the Website and to check its correct operation and are deleted immediately after processing. The data could be used to ascertain liability in the event of hypothetical computer crimes to the detriment of the Website: except for this possibility, at present the data on web contacts is stored for no more than seven days.

Cookies
LaPresse uses both technical and profiling cookies on its pages, including third-party cookies, for statistical purposes, web browsing analysis and to provide personalised services as well as send targeted advertising.

Technical cookies also make it possible to carry out aggregate statistical analyses of the most visited pages and users’ preferences, but only in anonymous form, and are not used to analyse the behaviour or preferences of individual users.

Profiling cookies, on the other hand, are used to analyse the interests and browsing habits of individual users, to personalise their browsing experience and to provide users with interest-based content, including targeted advertising.
