On the one hand, the weakness of the European economy and geopolitical tensions are holding back consumption and investment, helping to contain inflation. On the other hand, the increase in uncertainty – due above all to the announcements, sometimes contradictory, regarding the commercial policies of the United States – imposes caution in the reduction of official rates’.
