Milan, 5 Apr. (LaPresse) – ’We are committed to what we could call a de-escalation with the US administration. We must not press the panic button. If the stock markets are acting on a certain type of instinct, we as a government must keep a cool head, assess the impacts in a calm manner, avoid starting a policy of counter-duties that could be harmful for everyone and especially for us, and bring this type of rationality to a European level. The Italian government must rightly bring its interests to Europe, in the knowledge that trade policy is a European competence’. So said the Minister of Economy, Giancarlo Giorgetti, during his speech at the Ambrosetti Forum in Cernobbio.
