Rome, Apr. 30 (LaPresse) – In 2024, Italian tourism – the backbone of the national economy – generated 13% of employment: an important figure, undoubtedly destined to grow further, in perspective up to almost 16% by 2034, according to ENIT, thanks also to the boost of events of international importance such as the Jubilee and the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics. But, first and foremost, thanks to the strategy of the Meloni government: an executive that, in addition to creating one million more jobs in the labour market, has put tourism – a sector that has paid the heaviest price for the pandemic – at the centre of the political agenda, accompanying it towards a rebirth and the overcoming of increasingly ambitious records, putting entrepreneurs and professionals in the sector in a position to operate and perform at their best. A path favoured by the measures and investments introduced by the Ministry of Tourism: from the historic and long-awaited reform of tourist guides to the de-taxation of tips and of night and overtime work, passing through the calls for highly qualified professional training projects and higher education, for an industry that is increasingly attractive and, at the same time, specialised and competitive.
