Rome, 21 May (LaPresse) – At the Ilva talks at Palazzo Chigi, ‘we outlined to the unions what the consequences could be for employment and the redundancy fund. The talks will resume on Monday at the Ministry of Labour’. This was stated by the Minister for Enterprise and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, responding to questions in the Chamber of Deputies on the former Ilva. Unfortunately, the accident at Afo1 and the seizure by the Taranto Public Prosecutor's Office, said Urso, ‘prevented necessary safety measures from being taken, compromising the blast furnace. This has a significant impact on the industrial plan drawn up by the commissioners and agreed with the trade unions, halving the planned production’.
